How long does Public Records Research take? 

  • public‑record enquiries, and Friends  enquires, take 6–8 weeks, depending on the nature of the documents and the archives involved.

What kinds of public‑record enquiries can you review?

Is the fee structure the same for both services?

  • Yes. Both services follow the same affordable, ethical fee structure, with a modest Application fee Invoice $30  – no additional charges unless agreed in advance.

 Do I pay anything upfront?

No. There are no upfront payments required. Researchers issue invoices for their services.

What is the Application Fee used for?

When you receive an invoice for the Application Fee $30

The $30 Application Fee covers:

  • assessment of your case

  • the initial archival research

  • determining whether a successful outcome is possible

It is paid directly to the researcher, who has an ABN

All communication, are via email, remains private and secure.

What if my case is complex?

If your situation requires deeper or specialized research — the researcher will provide a Free, No‑Obligation quote before any work begins.

How is my privacy protected?

Your information is handled with care, confidentiality, and respect.

We use only ethical search methods and publicly available records.
Your details are never shared beyond the research team.

Yes. You may withdraw at any time before the researcher begins work.
