Our three‑step process is simple and respectful:

1. You share a few details about the person and your relationship.

2. A researcher looks for them using ethical, publicly available information.

3. If found, the researcher sends your Introductory Letter on your behalf.

This process is designed to be calm, private, and free of pressure.

• 4. What if the researcher cannot find the person?

You will receive an email within 6–8 weeks with the outcome — either way.
There are no additional fees, no surprises, and no ongoing charges.

• 5. Do I pay anything upfront?

No. You only pay the Application Fee once the researcher sends an invoice directly to you. There are no deposits, no hidden fees, and no ongoing charges.

• 6. What is the Application Fee used for?

The $50 Application Fee covers:

• assessment of your case

• the initial archival research

• determining whether a successful outcome is possible

It is paid directly to the researcher.

• 7. What is the Success Fee?

If the reconnection is successful, the Success Fee is $50.
You may contribute more as a gesture of gratitude — but this is entirely optional.

• 8. Who are the researchers?

Our small team of experienced outreach and archival researchers work quietly and respectfully behind the scenes.
Each case is reviewed with care, and only accepted when the researcher feels confident they can help.
All communication remains private and secure.

• 9. Will the person definitely reply to my letter?

No.
Any reply is entirely at their discretion.

• 10. What if my case is complex?

If your situation requires deeper or specialised research — such as very common names, limited information, or interstate/overseas enquiries — the researcher will provide a Free, No‑Obligation quote for the Success Fee before any work begins.

• 11. How is my privacy procted?

Your information is handled with care, confidentiality, and respect.

We use only ethical search methods and publicly available records.
Your details are never shared beyond the research team.

• 12. Can I withdraw my application?

Yes.
You may withdraw at any time before the researcher begins work.
